What do the Auric Mushrooms do?

So something I've been trying to figure out is what the different mushrooms do and I'm stumped at the Auric mushroom, whats its purpose? Given the description saying Oil I though perhaps it could be cooked in a cooking pot to give Oil like Hesperonis eggs or be used as an Oil substitute for Jerky making.

So far its:

* Aggeravic Mushroom - Works like Cooked Meat, refills food and heals a small amount of HP, also provides an immunity to poisons in Fertile Biome

* Aquatic Mushroom - Recent patch fixed Water Content so restores Water by small amount, gives immunity to poisons in Bioluminessence Biome

* Ascerbic Mushrooms - Works better than Narcoberry but worse than Narcotic, but can also be used to make Narcotic in place of Narcoberries.

* Auric Mushroom - So far results haven't proved much, doesn't seem to give oil when cooked in a cooking pot, doesnt convert meat to Jerky after a period of time and only seems to function as a food item while reducing water content. Only method left is to see whether this mushroom works like Stimberries and can be used as a sub for Stimulant.

From what i could read of the Auric file = Buff_Radiation_Sickness_C. No idea what else it may do, or be used for.

Makes me think that as an additional thoery, this mushroom functions as a temporary cure for Radiation Sickness like how some games portray radiation. Hard to say what the buff may entail whether it just makes you immune or to reduce exposure or whether to reduce the amount of time being afflicted by radtion.

Can't say for sure as I've yet to actually be afflicted by Radiation poisoning
