Taming a roll rat?

The dododex sats rollrats can be tamed with mejoberries, but i put them in my 0 slot, and when it burrows, I cant get it to throw it at the hole, 0 key eats the berry and E key does nothing, what am I missing?

Dododex is wrong, you need Honey in 0 Slot, wait until Rat bury and then hit 0 to throw Honey at the Hole.
