Fish Baskets

Has anyone figured out the trick to these things? Do we just put it in the water and wait or what?

I figured it out. you set the trap then you wait for the fish to attack it, then you hit E and catch the fish inside. It goes in your inventory and then you release it back in the water, that's how you tame fishies. lol. Well piranha anyways.

Do you actually tame the fish, or is it just transportation?

You tame the fish. Just keep in mind though that when you catch a fish, your basket only has 5 minutes of water in it, so you need to hurry with transporting your goods.

You can also use fish baskets to transport mantas and anglers that are already tamed.
