They all handle situations differently, it's impossible to compare them.

Wyvern, simply because they look the most cool out all of them in my opinion.

I think each has a place in the game. Drakes are so amazing on Aberration. Wyverns are the best flyers, so they are the most universal. Magnamars can't fly or glide, but their ice breath is neat, but they've been nerfed to bits. IMO, drakes and wyverns are the best.

Rock Drake, everyone goes "oh it cant fly whats even the point" but if you have tons of stamina you can pretty much just do the "rush forward" thing over and over along the ground and go incredibly fast.

I actually have a Drake and I want it to have the highest stamina of any drake in existence

Right now it has 4500 stamina. It still has some levels left to go

I did have a mana with 1620 base stamina, but, it died *shrug*

mana is best for pvp. The only way to beat a mana is with another mana. Wyverns just get snipped and a rockdrake is a joke for a flier. Only use rockdrakes for scouting.

It's funny how ridiculous the Ice Beam on the Mana is. Wyverns have no hope of escaping it

BUT the stamina usage for Managarmr's is abysmal because wow do they burn through their stamina very fast when compared to the wyvern's & drake's

also these day's idk what one you would say is the most well-rounded, the wyvern can ALMOST carry the same number of creatures as a quetzal and has speed & power on it's side, the rock drake possesses excellent mobility in aberration and can avoid most fights with ease...but the managarmr is the weakest in term's of raw damage and is best used as a support mount

Managarmr: Named after Norse folklore, appears closer to a North American Amaru, but cyberpunk'd.


Best cosmetic appeal- Wyverns. Different styles for different people and they fly, they're giant sky puppies. I'm partial to fire wyverns myself, preferably dark grey or black colors but I also like ice wyverns for their cosmetic appearance, also darker colors, blues and purples with white highlights, the "classic" ice wyvern if you will.

Best function WHEN THE PING IS GOOD: Rock drake. High speed, agile, takes a saddle and hits like a rex. With decent carry weight it can have a place in your cargo caravan, it has a place in extinction titan fights when everyone else is using a managarmr, use a drake to hunt meat for the manas so they can keep up the firepower. Just make sure to sneak around in cloak mode and bite the titan in the a$$ atleast once so when it dies you get credit. Gunshots from drake-back dont count. It's a fantastic cave runner so long as purlovia's are not around, if they are while the drake is stunned you can clamber into the passanger seat and atleast get out of reach of the murder badgers while the drake recovers. It might not have ranged attacks by default, but weapons while riding and a tek saddle make up for that. Other dragons spit fire, lightning, ice, etc. Drakes spit walls of lead and/or tranq darts.

Best function WHEN PING SUCKS: Wyverns. Moderate move speed and true flight leads to less teleporting. Lightning wyverns in particular are the nicest for high ping days since their lightning breath has a considerable duration.

Best bossfighter- Managarmr. With the ability to jump out of the way any time you please, a ranged beam of death on high melee manas and some of the best ground speed in the game, if you have good ping so the hits register, a team of manas can tear apart bosses in a matter of minutes, and don't even get me started on yuty boosted manas. The only down side is they go thru meat quickly and are not the best at harvesting it.

Outside of boss fights they're alright for transport but with low carry weight, the lowest of the dragon family, you can't take a whole lot with you. I have a character with 350 weight, my mana has 450 melee 3k stam but 400 weight, if I'm too heavy to move very fast, chances are the mana is too. Other thing you need to watch out for is using a mana on a map with water, E.G. The Island, Ragnarok or The Center, especially The Center. if it's a large body of water dont jump over it, just swim thru it, because if you run out of stam and plummet into the water, you'd better have a cryopod in your inventory else it's game over.

that's what i mean, the managarmr's biggest weakness (aside from their poor melee stat) is their stamina usage which is god awful...i mean i'd compare their stamina usage to the giga who also has very poor stamina usage

Stamina drain can be mitigated by using custom foods purpose built for stamina regen. Some eggs, some honey, some stimberries, and if you have some on hand, auric mushrooms. Make a custom cake out of that with 1100 crafting skill and feed 1 to a mana, thats gonna be some seriously long lasting stamina regen. Coupled with its natural regen it makes using them a peice of cake.
