Server Won't Show On Epic Games Server List
Hey Ark Community. So I've got an issue that I've been struggling with for a few days. I would appreciate any help greatly!

If any of you are server hosts, have you got your servers open to epic and steam successfully? And if so, can you actually find your server on the Epic versions server list? When I enabled it a few days ago on some of our servers it was showing up in the server list for a bit, but just recently it stopped showing up. I'm not sure exactly what's wrong since epic players can join the server through the "open IP:PORT" method in the console. What's frustrating is that steam works just fine, steam users can find the servers through adding to favorites or even just in the in-game server list. It's specifically the epic version where we can't see any of the servers.

It looks like its showing thousands of servers just fine on the epic games lists, so I'm just dumbfounded as to why mine specifically aren't showing. Sorry if this post has been really repetitive, I'm just trying to figure out what's wrong. I've been googling for days and haven't found anything. Thank you!!

I've had this problem too actually. I've been trying to host a server for my friends who got the game on Epic because it was free and they haven't been able to find it either even though I enabled -crossplay in the server arguments. I hope we get some advice here.

Thank you for responding. It's good to know I'm not the only one. I would really love to figure this out haha

Yeah. I was thinking that possibly what the issue could be is that there are just so many servers that it's impossible for all of them to show in the list. However, even when doing a direct search for the name of the server nothing showed up, so I don't think that's it.

It's especially weird cause like over 3,000 servers show up when you just let it load them all. What are we doing that makes it to where ours cant show up but theirs are o-o

The only things I can think of is that either its just some issue with Epic and we need to wait for it to get sorted out, or we haven't forwarded our ports properly, which I'm pretty sure I had. Because the first day it was out on Epic, my friend got it and searched for the server and found it, but simply got connection timeouts every time he tried to join. Now nobody can find it at all. All I can think of is that it is an issue with Epic.

I think you've definitely port forwarded correctly so long as he can join via steam. My servers used to be able to be found through the server list too, at least for a few days until it just stopped working 2-3 days ago. I didn't have many people disconnecting or anything like that though.

Has anyone else had this issue?

Maybe not?

If server has mods it wont show up in the list and you cant join it with EGS client.

I made certain to remove all mods before I attempted it.

I run a completely vanilla server.. strongly dislike using mods.

The server list in general is a pain to use when it has to load 60k+ servers in one big list (which never goes well half of the time). There's easier ways around it on steam but sadly not on Epic. another way around it is to load a singleplayer world and open the console (tab) and enter the command down below

open (SERVER-IP/PORT HERE) without the brackets of course and hit enter. It should hopefully connect you to the server.
Make sure no mods are running on the server neither since epic users cannot use mods as of right now.

Thanks for the response. Does the SERVER-IP/PORT thing work if the server has a password on it, or would I have to remove the password in order for my friends to join? (Then again, that may not even be an issue if nobody can find it anyways).

I just think its weird that even after putting in the server name in the search function they get no results. Is the search function just bugged then?

Typing the "open IP:PORT" thing does in fact work for my servers and has been for all this time, but that's not the issue here. Smith, if we're both experiencing the same problem it is straight up SPECIFICIALLY not showing our servers. NONE of my epic players have been able to see it on the servers list, and they can't even see them when trying to transfer, which is the bigger issue. I teach people how to make their own ark servers so I have a good sample size of people I can test this with too.

Every time so far, I've searched for their server after showing them how to get it up and enable crossplay and it shows up immediately in the server list. Again, if we're having the same issue which it sounds like we are, this is EXTREMELY rare and whats even more upsetting is that nobody has figured out how to fix it. I think it's affecting some amount of server providers that you can rent from and even they don't know whats wrong yet.

Truly frustrating..

As far as we can tell its an EG end issue.
