proof: am friend
If there's any reason why i'm seeing N/A for the ping or any fix please help me, if its possible i'll attach screenshots
NOTE:
To make ALL these processes EASIER i am gonna assume you use ARK Server Manager to set up your server, if you have not done this, i HIGHLY recommend it because it's a LOT easier
ASM can be downloaded here: https://arkservermanager.freeforums.net/thread/5193/downloads
My Startup Arguments are:
-PublicIPForEpic=<Your IP Here>
This makes sure EPIC users can find and connect to your server, make sure you use your EXTERNAL IP here (use https://www.whatismyip.com/ if you don't know what yours is) EXAMPLE: -PublicIPForEpic=127.0.0.1
-crossplay
This enables BOTH Steam and EPIC players to join your server
-insecure
This turns off VAC. may not be needed but since i trust the people i play with it's not needed
-NoBattlEye
The same as the previous argument, no need to disable this but since i trust my friends this helps with connection issues
Not sure if it's still needed: but if you need to host a server without a password you MIGHT wanna enable EXCLUSIVE JOIN (found under Server File Details in ASM) to make the server exclusive for only people on your whitelist
Setting this up is a bit of a hassle but it will allow only whitelisted people to join and you won\t need a password (in case EPIC players still can't connect to servers with passwords)
Long story short, you will have to host the server for your friends, have them connect and play for a while so the server generates "profile" files
These are located in the "ShooterGame/Saved/SavedArks folder and look something like this: 342534253245342543.arkprofile.
You will need to copy the numberstring from these files (in this case: 342534253245342543) for each of these profiles and put them in "PlayersExclusiveJoinList.txt file" which can be found in ARK Server Manager under "Server File Details" (just Copy the number, press the + and paste the number
Hope this helps and good luck with your server

If this does not work either:
A: Turn on uPNP on your router, this will open ports that need to be opened temporarily to allow connections
B: Manually open all the ports needed on your router for your PC
or C: Enable DMZ for your PC in the router, this disabled the firewall for just that machine in your network and it's not entirely safe, but if this allows you to play normally you know you might need to open a few more/different ports
