Breeding, to imprint or not to imprint
Hello everyone, I've been watching some breeding videos on YouTube cause I want to begin some serious mass-breeding, I've one doubt : should I imprint every baby or not?

To be more clear, people on YouTube said that only the base tame stats are passed to the baby (so not the leveled up stats), and in order to pass those you shouldn't imprint until you want to keep the dino, on the contrary, people in my tribe say this is no longer true, you can level up the dino and mutated stats might happen, in fact they imprint every baby, what's the correct way of doing it?

If you are working on bloodline either pure stats (no mutations) or mutation stacking, imprinting dosen't really matter till your done.

So there are two ways, pure stats and mutations, so in every case I shouldn't imprint until I have a stronger dino? I would've imagined that at least for pure stats you should imprint to get the bonus

Imprinting or leveling your dino's has 0 effect on the stats being passed down to the next generation. Imprinting also costs resources, so unless your using a S+ nanny, or you are at the final dino generation with all the good stats, its simply not recommended to do it.

The reason why people dont do either when breeding say boss rexes, is because they dont use tools like Ark Smart Breeding (ASB) that allows you to keep track of the base stats, so changing stats is confusing when trying to combine the best once.

If your really into breeding id suggest using ASB, it really helps keeping track of things during the process.

So you'd recommend using that if you're new to the whole Super breeding?
