Purple orbitals, the dinos that spawn as part of those have no 'de-spawn' timer, unlike other orbitals, and will stay up until killed.
Also if you happened to build near 50,50. your in bigger trouble, cause any lost wyverns will fly there.
But corrupt wvyerns get owned by turrets, so even on a PVE server, defend your base

we have had a few accidental orbital drops activated that sent wyverns to our city, but between 5 tribes we have been taking care of it.I've killed 2 in city myself, another tribe has killed 4 in city and even the desert tribe killed 1 this weekend.
if it gets out of hand admin powers show up. but so far has been unecessary.
then technically you are online and you can defend or take a screenshoot of the guy to report or revenge
well... you can't aggro dinos to other bases bc is against the rules and the hate of the ppl(pve) you can do that on pvp,
but obviously WC need to make rules in code, bc rules in text are a failure since the beggining
turrets vs corrupt wyverns is a wasteeee

only sure thing is when you have other tribes willing to watch ur back and reinforce if needed.
Dinos from purple orbitals need to de-spawn after a set time like other orbital dinos
All dinos spawned from a orbital need to return to the orbital after being lead X distance away
Do not have wvyerns that are lost fly to 50,50
Extinction is putting raiders out of a job. Why destroy a base when the map will do it for you? There has been more wiping with this expansion than any other, and most of it due to bugs.
But its a new map with new 'events', so I kind of expected bases to be wiped a few times due to 'untested features'.
I love the Element veins, meteor strikes, orbit drops, corrupted wyverns etc.
The supply drops have been a ton of fun. Extinction is just an extreme case due to how many devastating mechanics it introduced all at once, none of which worked properly to begin with. I'll be honest, I still don't trust the meteor strikes, and I probably won't until a few patches go by without them breaking again.
1) there are way, way, way, way too many of them packed into too small an area. It just isn't fun; and
2) they respawn almost instantly.
Moderation is more fun than Notice Me mechanics like this. Like yes I know that Corrupted Dinos exist but that doesn't mean there should be enough of them that I can walk over them like a bridge. The same problem exists with the thirst/hunger mechanic where it is way too fast to be immersive or fun and is only there so that you constantly notice it is there even though that rate simply isn't fun.
