Why would you want to build in the wasteland, so many much better spots to pick from.
There is a ruin overhang just southwest of the SE biome that even counters the hunger drain.
Also I agree there's only like 2 spots in the wasteland that I even think are semi aesthetically pleasing. There's plenty of other good spots in sanctuary, the forest, the snow, and the desert biomes.
People just see all that empty space and want to know.
I set up in the snow, and let me tell you, it is gorgeous here but probably not worth it in the long run. The managarmrs are the biggest pests in the entire game haha.
We're going to set up a bunch of turrets around our stuff and hope that will be enough to shoot them out of the sky, but we're not sure if they have the damage multiplier, since they're technically not fliers.
