Clay/Sand in Extinction

Is there any Sand or Clay in Extinction? I can't find any.

hatcheting rocks in the desert gives me sand

pretty sure clay gets made in a mortar and pestle and cant be found but i could be wrong since i haven't spent too much time in the desert biome on extinction yet

Gachas give you both. Rocks in the Desertbiome gibes you Sand and there also Cactussap for making Clay

Desert dome, Sand up the wazoo and cactus sap all over from the cactus there.

Was getting Clay from my Gacha's.
