I'm aware, however there are blood and ember eggs, there should be tropical eggs as well. I've already tamed several tropical eggs. There are Tropical Heir wyverns but no eggs.
where did you find them?
I've seen the nests spawning above the wyvern cave itself. And even no nests spawning and just floating eggs. I rarely see an egg inside the cave, and only see them outside the cave itself
Have got to the point here I have tested with "creative mode" type approach, cleared every wyvern heir and all nests in the area. Nests keep spawning but only Blood and Ember eggs in them. Haven't seen a single tropical egg in a week.
Have found that killing all Heirs in the vicinity seems to make nests spawn faster (as new heirs spawn in) and I have tried keeping all but tropical heirs alive, only killing the tropical heirs, etc. Still no Tropical Eggs :(
The way the nests work is they use the wyverns near them to find a breeding pair and that's what kind of egg you get.
It's random which pair is selected if there's several eligible, so it does work more to your advantage if you kill off the blood and ember heirs but not the tropical ones, but as respawns will happen to replace blood and ember, it's a very short term advantage.
When I was going for eggs around a week or two ago, it was the same...the tropical were super scarce... I got like 8 or 9 of blood and ember before getting even one tropical but now I have a nice, high level breeding pair of tropical ones to breed my own.
You Just gotta be persistent.
Edit to add: if you play single player, or host your own server, there's a mod that lets you add Nests to the game. Using the mod, you could put a nest down in that wyvern area and set it to ONLY spawn tropical wyvern eggs. If you'd prefer to go that route, the mod is Simple Spawners.
