Troodon level 72 killed 4 of my tames...
2 parasaurs with good health, one lvl 64 and the other 128.

2 dilos one lvl 49 and the other 47

A troodon. One troodon killed them all. Because my dinos couldnt attack sht. They got knocked backed and flanked. Their pathing sucked.

I spent a ton of time getting these guys i even put in some arrows this troodon AT LEAST took over 800 damage.

How the fk is something so small so tanky? HOW? It was doing ♥♥♥♥♥ 12 damage to my dinos. NOTHING BUT IT KILLED THEM ANYWAY. HOW THE ♥♥♥♥♥ HOW?

HOOOOOWWWWWWWWWWW FKING ARK

I mean look at your tames buddy. You are trying to fight carnivors with a herbavor that is too tall to hit it and some slow to do anything Dilos that might as well be using harsh language.

Get some meat eaters like a raptor or 10. Or something bigger that can just stomp it to death like a Trike. Or get an birb. Or literally anything else lol.

Troodon's are gansta AF. The only way to tame them is to let them kill your dino's. That's ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ savage. Says something.
Paras can absolutely attack troodons, it's just that they hit like a gentle breeze

Both of these statements should be framed.

I mean you could always play on your own server and respawn your dinos. If you can't take the losses then dont play the game.

You need way more than a bola to tame a Troodon...

Also was it night time? They are buffed after dark.

It was daytime. Didnt know they were so powerful glad it wanst nighttime lmao

Also i should have brought sum stimberries or stimulants cause thats what i use to deal with torper if i ever know im encountering a torpor animal :|

had no idea these things were so fking dangerous and especially early game so common...

They typically run in packs of like 3-6. At night time their eyes glow and their agro range increases.

Early on you're best to avoid them rather than engaging.

You should look into some tames that don't suck, Parasaurs are mainly for riding and Dilos are decorations.

Just get a tickle chicken to guard your dinos. Still easier to tame than a Troodon.
Cobretti Jun 15, 2020 @ 11:25pm
You need to build a dino pen to keep your dinos safe or as I do, early game I like to avoid this whole situation and start on a raft just off shore. Far away not to agro land dinos but not in deep water to get hit by a leed.

I move off the raft once I have a ptera or good scouting land dino such as an Iguanadon and can scout my first proper base location. Dont be a beach bob.

To tame a troodon is petty easy. hatch some babys, claim them, dont set them on passiv, give them narcos, let them kill by troodon. win.

close but best way is to use make the babies cryo sick so they take massive bonus damage from the troodon :)
