Can't install crystal isles

When I click download on the steam store for the crystal isles map it opens ark and I click on the icon on the top left to install crystal isles from the game. It opens a steam overlay of the crystal isles store page and when i press on download it appears saying is steam installed. When I press yes steam is installed nothing happens and it isn't downloading. Anyway around this?

right click ark in library > properties > DLC > make sure the dlc is ticked and then check your download queue

Are you sure it isn't already downloaded? I experienced the same as you and realised it had already downloaded with the anniversary update.

I downloaded the anniversary update but when i go to load into a game on the map it takes me back to the menu and the store page on the overlay.

idk why it doesn't show but on the right of your screen with ark selected in the library there should be a dlc section. go to manage dlc and make sure it's checked there

, i heard people saying it doesnt show right away in the download tab so ,the moment you clicked download it will add it to your account.

Currently there is an issue for quite a few people which causes the dlc not to download any files even though it says it has. I have tested verifying files/reinstalling and various other things and it refuses to download the map.

Select Properties and go to the DLC tab.
Uncheck Crystal Isles and click OK.
Do steps one and two again but this time re-check Crystal Isles.
That should trigger the game to redownload the map. (at least it did for me.)

I already have done that, the map won't download if there is nothing to pull down.

It did for me because I had to redownload it twice. Though, there is not much to the new map anyway. Just a lot of wide open spaces and empty plains with extremely few dinos roaming about. Plenty of crystal everywhere though.

I have had this same issue today and google brought me here. When i checked the DLC under properties, Crystal Isles isnt on the list. Under the list is a link "view all available downloadable content for this product", click on that and scroll down to the bottom where you will see the Crystal Isles link. Go there for a working link to download the map. I dont know why the other usual routes were not working for me but this did.

i am not surprised. everything this company
touches ends up seriously messed up and
nothing is ever delivered on time.

I have had the same issue, today, I tried it with all the other maps as well, still doesn't work. There is no "DLC" tab in the properties for me either.
