Resolution scale.
If your ingame textures look like a console it's most likely because of a slow hdd.
It's easily checked, just stand still for a while and if they improve i'd recommend switching to an ssd.
Hi, Ark have been a little jacked up since the start, probably the way they use the game engine Unreal 4...
Which is weird because Conan Exiles uses the same engine and doenst have as many issues...
ps: Im reinstalling the game after rage uninstallling it yesterday cuzz of game issues... That should give you an idea of how bad it can get...
Could also be aliasing, try changing your anti-aliasing settings to see if that fixes the issue.
