wait for the textures to load in.. textures not loading is the result of a bottleneck. could be slow Hdd or slow ram. or your cpu is pegged and can't get the info to the gpu fast enough.

The latest Epic game-engine uses SSDs to load graphic assets, are you using a SSD? If you are, leave quiet a bit of space on the SSD, the graphics will load quicker. Do you play any other games with the epic game engine?

ark has a crap ton of large textures that need to be applied to countless dynamic surfaces so it can't really be compared to most games.. very occasionally i get a couple of seconds with ps1 graphics even with a decently powerful pc .. if it takes an abnormal amount of time to load textures then there is a problem with either your hardware or the game itself. dunno if epic has a verify file integrity feature but i'd start there if it does

First off, its definetely your pc that can't handle the graphics properly, ARK's graphics can be different to anyone but try messing with your settings a bit [probably put them lower] and you'll get there, i think..

Also, make sure your resolution scale is set to 100%. Even with all settings on epic the game looks ugly if the resolution scale is not set right.

i have a 2080s and never had any problems with graphics in any other game. im guessing i just didnt expect the game to look like this, the graphics just look really weird and kinda blurry, especially at far distances. i honestly cant explain it.

If your ingame textures look like a console it's most likely because of a slow hdd.

It's easily checked, just stand still for a while and if they improve i'd recommend switching to an ssd.

its just the outline of textures far away looks weird. like tress and stuff. my game looks no different from youtube videos and screenshots so i think i just find the graphics weird.

Hi, Ark have been a little jacked up since the start, probably the way they use the game engine Unreal 4...

Which is weird because Conan Exiles uses the same engine and doenst have as many issues...

ps: Im reinstalling the game after rage uninstallling it yesterday cuzz of game issues... That should give you an idea of how bad it can get...

That's because Funcom focused more on making it look pretty and bewbies than they did making sure the game has working content.

^This, on games with large maps and therefore lots of textures to load using the Epic game engine, you really need a SSD, with plenty of spare space too.

Could also be aliasing, try changing your anti-aliasing settings to see if that fixes the issue.

Because DLC is more important than game health apparently.
