1.Start the dedicated server
2.Wait until in the log of server you see that the server is fully loaded (about 1-2 minutes)
3.Start Ark -> Play single player
4.Open the console and type: open 25.67.168.132 (your local IP address in hamachi)
5.Wait, now the game should connect to your dedicated server
6. All other players should do the steps 3-5
Does this work with Xbox too? So I can host a game on epic and my friend from xbox can join?
The steps above are just to get around the server browser not showing the server. Doesn't magically change the version of the game you are running.
Lookup ark server manager to make it easier
Where do I go to put the -crossplay in my game?
For full server config guide see the Ark wiki. For guides on setting up a server, literally google. There's countless guides out there.
Recommend Ark Server Manager.
I tried this and theymy friends cant connect... idk why... could it be that EOS needs other port forwardings in the Router?
Countless more fleshed out guides on the internet on how to create a dedicated server. Don't use the ingame option.
okay but can someone say the ports that eos is using?
