Moving large amounts of dinos help!

So... The time has come to move my dinos to my new base. I have to take 60-80ish dinos halfway across the map. I hadn't seen a wild carnivore for days after multiple scouting runs so I figured wth lets go and I literally move 1cm on the map and bam there's a spino and an alpha carno blocking my path. Any tips when it comes to transporting large amounts of dinos? This is my first playthrough that I actually managed to get above lvl 20. No player threats cause I'm playing singleplayer. I haven't been able to find a quetzal I looked for hours so that option is eliminated.

Im still look for quetzal too. It's my first time getting up to lvl 90 something. Im still trying to collect hair to make fur armor, and I still need to look for obsedian, and white pearls.

4-5 low level carnos, not experienced enough with the game to know if thats enough, what do you think?

Invest in taming a high level carnivore to guard your convoy. A rex will do great.

get rid of your least useful tames and replace them with good carnivores/freighters

I play single player only as well, Traveling the beachs is a safer route , but even Alpha raptors can spawn there.

This is my advise.

Hold off on moving to your new base. You need DPS on your side. To do this you need brute force and damage. Continue to scout and Identify near you position you can locate T-Rex's and Spino's. Try and look for high levels on your map ... the closer to your are for you first few T- Rex 's the better. Yes T- Rex's are very frightening at your level but in the wild they are extremely slow and klutzy.

You can trap and tame them easy. The first way is to use stone dino gates ( they dont need the doors) to make a C place a large bear trap in the center of the C Keep a 4th dino gate in one of your belt to slam it down quickly. Use a flier to "kite' the T-Rex into the center of the Dino gates . Speed throught the gates with your flier to give some distance between your flier , the trap and the T- Rex. Jump of the flier and run towards the trap to ensure the T-rex goes inside . Once you hear the large bear trap slam shut , run arround the gates and slam down the last stone gate. The Rex will be busy tring to break ther trap for a few seconds so don't hestitate. This will trap the T-Rex giving you plenty of time to Tranq dart the T-Rex even with a 100 % damage bow.

The second way is very similar . May a 6 x 6 foundation square. Leave the center hallow On one side place a Behemoth gate with door , on the opposite side place a dino gate door not neeed. All the way arround place stone windows for walls . Next rows Stone walls 5 high. Yes will cost to make this but it will be well rewarding if you tame 3 or 4 T-Rex from this trap. Use the methood above to kite A T-Rex into the trap . This time you can put down more dino trap on the opposite side iof the Behemoth gate . This will buy you more time To close the Behemoth gate door.

If your a bit low to build this you can farm and make narcotics and this will level you to 70 fast ... it's good EXP that way and you'll need them. Also Doodex is a good thing to use help you develop taming skill.

Try to get at least 1male and 1 female so they get mate bonus . better than that would be 2 Female's and one Male. That will give mate bonus and extra eggs. Use the male to attck and let the females jump in.

If you have a argent flying the smaller ones there is a option, takes a little time but as long as you have a good stamina argent you can safely fly back and forth, once you have all the carryable ones moved the smaller group will be easier to convoy.

Once you get a Good Set of Rex's use them to lead the convoy . Bitting trees with a Rex gives them EXP . Scout with your fliers and have them trail the Raptors when your advancing with the Rex's . Kill any thing that gets in your way to the base . With the execeptions of a Dino called a Titanosaur and the other one called a Giganotsarus .... If it's the Latter RUN RUN FOR LIFE!

for a new player, just tame ankylo, keep farming metal ingots all the way. then buy good mutated dinos with ingots slowly.
basically a tribe only use 10-20 useful dinos, the rest will just be kibble eggy dinos. server not reaching tame limit and you can alot of space for breeding to sell to new player and the eco cycle is healthy
