Canteens and water jars break in water tap

This is old bug which appears to be happening again. Tried to drink from stone water tap attached to stone pipes and stone intake pipe (direct water connection). Could not drink from water tap?!? Put canteen in water tap inventory to fill it and canteen instantly broke. Tried water jar and it broke too. Found old threads listing similar issue, so removed and replaced stone water tap, can drink ok and fill water containers now. Happened in SP on Ragnarok.

I am experiencing the same problem here. I built a new stone pipe (vertical off an existing water line) then placed a new stone tap on that new pipe and it worked. I then made a few new water jars then tried all my existing stone taps and they now work. Hope that helps you.

A bit of a necro, but this topic still comes up when googling this issue so figured i'd drop an update: The issue is with the flexible water pipes occasionally disabling their links on server reset/login. Find your flexible pipe, hold E and say "reset connections". This will prompt the pipe to reconnect to the system and fix all broken taps stemming from it.

I seem to remember this problem happening sometimes after updates before flexible water pipe's were a thing.

We used to fix it by demolishing and re-building the tap.

Nice to know that isn't necessary any more if you have used a flexi.

Sorry to necro this already necro'd thread, but this bug is STILL happening and I have NO flexible pipes in my irrigation system. I tried making a new canteen and once I put it into the tap even the new one broke.

I'll try demolishing the tap and putting a new one on. Sec. Ok replacing the stone water tap worked. That appears to be a workaround until they fix this (as if).

Necro again, I had this bug occur after enabling single player settings on my dedicated server. Picking up/demolishing the tap and replacing fixed it
