Singleplayer load times with mods taking over 30 mins
This is my first post ever, so sorry if I have made it super hard to read or in an obscure, incorrect area. Recently, I have been using a bunch more mods, namely primal fear, pugnacia dinos, parados dinos, and foreworld myth. Without those mods my game loads up in maybe 30 sec to 1 min on an SSD. However, with those mods installed I get the craziest load times, up to above 30 mins but by that time I gave up. I can navigate to singleplayer, then I click and I get "primal game data bp" and then it stays there, stuck, for more than 30 mins because I gave up. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling mods, unsubbing, contantly verifying my game file integrity, nothing works. Sometimes primal game data bp doesnt even load show up and it shows the singleplayer server and never gets off of that. Anyone know what is happening, cuz it is unplayable like this.

just had a look at those 4 mods and it looks like your getting a mod conflict between Primal Fear, Pugnacia Dinos and Parados Dinos they all say they are not compatible with mods that affect vanilla creatures so i would recommend only using one of them honestly be best if you don't use Foreworld Myth on your first try then try using Foreworld again if you get successful load with one of the others just to make sure its not causing a conflict

Using any kind of Overhaul mod like those will increase your load time considerably anyway.
They're massive mods that adds and changes a lot of things within the game, it's a lot of data to load.

Ok guys, thx for the answers. Probably should have looked into that dino conflict thing earlier. As an added question, MrMeola is able to run pugnacia dinos with parados dinos, how is that possible?

Also if you are playing on an HDD and not an SSD, mod load times will be extremely slow. Its typically a night and day difference.

It's possible that person is using custom versions that remove the conflicts between them. Could also be that those two mods just happen to be compatible with each other and primal fear is breaking them.

if get 2 mods that affect same thing theres only a chance your going to get a conflict its not guaranteed sometimes you can get around it with your mod load order honestly though the best thing you can do is just play it safe and avoid using mods that risk a conflict they might work when you first use them but you could run into game breaking issues after a game/mod update

Large mods on slow drives is the cause. You can either get a SSD or reduce the amount of mods you are using. By amount I mean total size and not how many. Thirty 2mb mods isn't gonna cause an issue, but three 4gb mods will.

What's a decent sized SSD for being able to play these (mods) on a PC?

You can get 1TB ssds fairly inexpensive from newegg or amazon.
