Desert Titan killing me instantly

Hi there, my character has over 1k armor and around 700hp, and the desert Titan tail slap, lightning, and frontal cone attacks are killing me and my tames instantly. Is this intended?

Are you trying to tame it?
If not just bring a good lightining wyvern o kill it.

What is your difficulty set to?

Yes I'm trying to tame it. There's no mention anywhere I could find that this Titan instantly kills you, seeing as I killed the forest and ice Titans with relative ease.
I have an argentavis with a mastercraft saddle and 8k go that also got clapped in one hit, I'm thinking it's either bugged or I'm doing something very wrong.
Difficulty is set to max 150 dino level

Are you getting smacked by the lightning?

Sometimes the lighting triggers when the debuff falls off, other times it takes 3-4 seconds after the debuff expires to kill me, it's all very arbitrary and strange. Watching videos people don't seem to have this same issue

All 3 attacks will one tap a player no matter what I was in a Tek suit with each peice had 800-1k armor. Last I did it we had Tek quetz with 30k hp with asc plateform saddles and they would get killed in 3 or 4 lightning or tail hits, the bite took about half health.

We were also at 150 wild level

Yeah just watched a vid on it, will have to give it a go since I was just doing it wrong lol
