My friend cant join my server

It says lost timeout connection but on every other server he can join what does he need to do or i

I've had the same problem many, many times when joining servers, especially my friends.
Whenever this happens, my friend restarts the server, this usually should fix whatever Ark is internally dying about, sometimes an error box appears on the screen, this usually states what Ark was dying over.
If this does not work, try;
1) making sure you're connected to the internet
2) restarting Ark (like closing it and reopening it from steam)
If restarting Ark doesn't work, try closing down steam, waiting a couple minutes, then re-opening Steam.

If you do end up trying this, could you let me know? As restarting the ark server is the only thing my friends and I have done, which fixed our problem, so wanna see if its just my Ark being fussy or if it actually works for everyone.

Reinstalling sometimes helps depending on the computer and server.

I know it is very weird but dont know how it worked it will came back probably becouse this is game of bugs that most people like hah.
