Beer Barrel not working! Just one beer...
I installed a beer barrel, placed 100 tintoberry, one empty jar and 200 tatch, connected it by the top to a irrigation pipe, then waited less than 1 hour hours (I'm on singleplayer) and it produced one beer.
I did the same setup again and now I'm waiting for 7 hours and no beer...

What's happening? How this barrel is supposed to do? (I'm making beer to tame Chalico)

The jar is consumed when 1 beer liquid is made and turns into 1 beer jar.

you are gonna need more water jars.

Also it takes 50 berry and 40 thatch to make 1 beer liquid. so if a berry spoils and the stack ends up at 49 the creation is canceled.

But as I said, I replaced everything exactly as before, I replaced the jar, berries and tatch, and berry didn't spoiled.
Also, even If I could not have a jar, it would produce beer liquid, but nothing happens...

Well, after 8 hours it finally produced another beer, I guess I just need to keep waiting...

Were you in render? Some mechanics don't behave properly with in and out of render processing.

The barrel is on my house, one floor above, i stay there and sometimes cross teh close river to some expeditions to wait for it.
Now that you minded, I travelled to the RedWoods that is way too far from the house to get some Sap, do you think I need to go away for a while to it to work?

They mean you need to be there at the base for them to work. Leaving, even travelling relatively short distances, may be putting the base into stasis.

I don't know for sure how they work in SP/non-dedi, but on dedicated servers they will continuously work even in stasis (we get 1 every 6 hours), but SP/non-dedi reduces the production time to only 1 hour and that may be to make up for SP handling stasis differently, i.e. you need to be present and have the base loaded into memory and out of stasis for production to happen.

using the -prevent hibernation launch command will make your singleplayer run like a dedicated server in terms of stasis mechanics. then you don't need to be near your base for things to produce/grow up, and dinospawns on the map improve as well.

The downside is larger strain on your pc so not usefull for low end rigs

Is it really just equivalent to running a dedicated server and client on the same PC?

You are technically doing that anyway. The only difference between single player/non-ded and dedicated is the dedicated server allows multiple areas to load at once so people can roam the island without a tether or other barriers. Make no mistake, the full server is still running and consuming the same amount of resources.

All right guys, but still 8 hours to produce a bear must be with something wrong,

or I guess to you that the barrel could be glitched, when I went too far from my base, and then came back, bringing my system to load the area again, the glitch was flushed and the game finally applied the result to the barrel. What you think?

Anyway, I made it, I found a Chalico with Level 1, and luckly I tamed him with a single beer (Tame x3), yehah finally.

You know what, I suspect that's actually the problem that breaks the fix the implemented for egg laying. The system fails to produce the proper amount of eggs that should have been laid within the half-hour (egg despawn timer) before you rendered the area. Due, presumably, to improper timer function.

Basically it only starts when you return to base and doesn't save its progress.

I never gotten the beer barrel to work even once. Even if it says its irrigated, filled with berries of all types, filled with one type, 200 thatch, 40 thatch, water jar empty inside, filled water jar, etc.

8 Hours, yes except for the usual problems that comes with SP that is off by two hours.

Hmm, I don't use the jar until I need it. I have 17 beers waiting to be put in jars.
