How is Organic Polymer used??

I keep finding videos and articles about harvesting and collecting Polymer or Organic Polymer yet not finding anything regarding how this stuff is used. The only reference in the WIKI says it's used on advanced items. Which is zero help and pointless
Should I just ignore organic polymer until I've reached level 40 something?

Its used in place of crafted Polymer... exactly the same.

If you read the wiki thoroughly... you'd have seen a complete list of things that require polymer to craft.

Polymer is used on pretty much everything once you get a fabricator. You need it to make fridges, vaults, canteen, gps, scuba gear, heavy armor, saddles, industrial cooker, forge, and grinder, and a large list of equipment. Organic Polymer counts as (hard)Polymer also you can make ghillie armor with Organic Polymer as well. Polymer is used as a currency in trade so most people farm organic poly to make what they need.

Looks like the only cooking or mixing combination for organic polymer is soap. Unfortunately soap appears to be only useful for removing dye. Since I'm only level 12 I guess I will let the stuff expire on its own.

I take it you whacked a beach carcass?

its really useful for once you have the fabricator. Also the leaf armor set is made from it.

You can tame your own penguins and breed them to get more from whacking the babies with a club (Or chainsaw if you prefer)

If your playing single player and live near a beacon, I suggest storing it there

Just a tip to get loads of organic polymer. Put some levels into meele damage, kill a crab on aberration and use a ascendent chainsaw to harvest it :)
