Bug Fixes As A Mod
Are there any mods or third-party patches that fix most of the bugs in the game? Since Wildcard won't do it I'm pretty sure someone else will. I wouldn't be asking this in the first place if Wildcard would fix their bugs but nah of course not, they just care about more DLC.

What bugs though? Bugs are not really that common anymore, and Wildcard are fixing some of the newer bugs, including meshing problems. A mod wouldn't really fix those types of bugs either...

What bugs are you having most trouble with? It might be something we can help you with that doesn't require any mod's help (there's pretty much no mods that will fix bugs).

There's a big list but I can't remember them all. But here are some from the top of my head.
(all from experience) and I play single player.

1. Rock Drakes spin like crazy when they aggro on you

2. Dino's on Extinction disappear through the ground when I power-slam them with my Managarmr

3. Managarmr gets stuck on any ledge you walk off of

4. Managarmr gets stuck on a raptor when power-slamming, unable to kill them.
(You just float above them)

5. On Extinction if you're very unlucky, a drop can disable your Managarmr from doing freeze damage on any dinosaur because essentially, you're being killed. (It's very specific) but yep.

6. On Aberration, Rock Drakes can get you stuck in a nest, eventually pushing you through the map causing you to lose all your stuff.

Oh, Yea! A big pet peeve of mine is how Dino's are able to push yours like it weighs like nothing! What kind of a game mechanic is that? It's so annoying.

Bugs on this game are to be expected, but they're not essentially being dealt with and that's what makes me not want to play.:steamfacepalm:

Mods typically don't address bugs. You should be trying to get these more visibility on https://survivetheark.com forums if you want to see them addressed. Tweeting (and having everyone you know also tweet) to Cedric might also be beneficial.

The crucial thing you have to understand here is that mods use the ARK DevKit, which is based on the game as it is, and that most if not all bugs we see in the core game will still affect any mods made with it. Modders cannot rewrite the game's core engine functions that most bugs are caused by. All they can do is work with maps, assets and UE4 BPs. They can't rebuild the game's core functions.

Modders are limited by the Devkit .... they cannot remove bugs from the core game.

I also want to make some input about the bugs in this game

If the character is higher than 1 wall, then if there is a window opening on top, the character will rest his head on it.

If the character is taller than 1 wall, then if there is a window opening on top, the character will rest his head on it.

A very big problem with construction and lucky that 1 mod almost fixed this problem https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=731604991&searchtext=

And that's not all I found in about 24 hours playing this game. I'm not too lucky with bugs, but this game is riddled with them.

You're a bit late to the party....however... the playability of Ark far outweighs the headaches from the bugs.

I'm not arguing, but I'm not happy with the fact that mod makers have to fix bugs

Most of the bugs are simply not going to be fixed \o/ There has not been a bug sweep in almost two years and even those were minor.

Maybe I'm just unlucky

This thread was quite old before the recent post, so we're locking it to prevent confusion.
