works on every map but genesis, but you need it on genesis or the game can crash -.-
i can all maps without issues on singleplayer with offical settings and the ressources will respawn but it makes the game slower and even more with mods.
after using this command on startup you resources that are missing may take a long time coming back but every resource you will harvest after using this command will work fine.
even works with dino respawn which can be bugged without
Does it still make Cnidaria spawn and die in the air?
(I flew around in GCM mode for 2 minutes)
but i'm sure i found them in the sky the last time i played the Island but I'm not 100% sure.
I dont realy like the ocean and play near the mountains and the Redwood.
but respawning resources are the most important thing for me and I dont realy care about the Cnidarias.
but beware on Genesis the resources will not come back if you use the Hlna Teleport
on all other maps you can teleport without any issues (I used the awesome Teleporters mod without issues)
I think the problem is actually quitting the game right after mining resources. I quit the game periodically to save and back up. Since I take care not to go offline after mining metal and obsidian, everything respawns normally.
Thank you so much!
I'm having issues with the bee hives not respawning in my single player Crystal Isles world. I suspect it's because of the above-mentioned quitting-without-waiting problem, as I was unaware of that (really kinda stupid) bug.
I've tried DestroyWildDinos to no avail but I haven't tried the -preventhibernation yet. I'm wondering how to use that command and what it might achieve?
*edit: Where are my manners? Thank you very much for any help offered! :)
Then when you want to remove it and try to run Ark, it may crash out.
I had an experience getting it turned back off and will not be using that any longer.
What helped me -- after loads of study was a post that said to run a session of your single player game as a server. Right there on the menu.
I stayed in that session for a while then every other time back to single player like normal.
After doing that my nodes were re-spawning fine.
BTW -- some people play with resource re-spawning turned off. They say it breaks their so called 'immersion'.
I didn't have the issue on Ragnarok and Valguero
I only saw that on the island as well.
Is your performance still acceptable? -- the game is doing a lot more now - every second.
-preventhibernation is mainly used when transferring a singleplayer map(hibernation) to play MP(stasis).
This setting will not help.
Without more info its hard to say, but my guess is the OP and yourself are running SP games, on which the 0 metal respawn is a known issue.
I collect all I can, problem is I have creatures that destroy rocks and nodes when running, so I must be carefull.
Indeed I'm playing SP, but I never had this problem before.
It is important to note that flying jelly fish can occur whether you use the prevent hibernation or not. Its been a thing well before the use of that launch command was commonly used and the issue can occur in sp or on servers too. In some cases its a rendering issue too, just like when folks see flying fish during saves or delays of sp or a server processing something.
Also make sure that you check your spawn settings. Remember that in single player, if you've not adjusted respawn of resources etc, that it can be a rather long respawn situation. Exiting in single player does help it either as the game essentially pauses when you exit.
Outside of that, there are other variables that can affect respawns and other things. Thus you may wish to simply consider turning you comp into a dedicated server that only you access(not a non dedicated as it'll cause the same problems) and adjust settings as you wish for said play and it may resolve some things. Just keep in mind that be it sp or as a server for your comp, ark is a demanding game and playing either above the means of your computer can cause issues regardless.
