I dont care if I get banned for this, but im done with Ark. Today i hopped on to steam to play some ark, only to find out the game randomly uninstalled itself. I downloaded it again, praying my months of singleplayer progress is still there. Everything is gone. Every mutated creature I put hours of work into. The massive house I grinded out for hours. I checked the bak files and NOTHING. Either theres a solution to this, or im uninstalling the game never to come back. Jesus F*cking Christ.

some good solutions have been posted above. but. if your only playing single player you can just spawn in what ever you lost. you obviously have never played pvp. where you loose months of work from raiders.. smh..

I wouldn't doubt it.
I've had ark somehow install itself on the wrong drive.
So for example it was set to install on C:
But it installed on D: and I couldn't see any of the files being installed on D:

Did you check your save folders to see if they were actually erased? did you just find the game gone in steam or was it actually missing from the install folder? If I hotswap my drives it loses all memory of previous library folders. My library is installed across several hadr drives and i have to add them every tiem i swap, otherwise it looks like the game is gone according to steam. Hopefully you find a fix!
