HNLA broken?

I just purchased the expansion. Hopped on my friends server and equipped HNLA. I watched a video saying to talk to her, you need to hit E, which I tried. I get no options or menus of any kind. Anyone else having this issue, or know how to fix it?

Did you hold E? I notice that sometimes if there's something to gather nearby (like plants), they prioritize the gathering over the robot. So either gather everything or find an empty spot, then hold E on the robot.

Yeah I tried that to. In an area where there were berries, and outside of an area without berries. I don't get any options at all. No pop up, no mouse over, no nothing. It's almost as if she's just visual with no interaction options. I've tried re equiiping her, restarting the game, restarting the server. I'm completely out of options.

it sounds silly but if you are not in genesis it doesnt work. Im assuming you are in genesis but maybe you arent

just a sec, you do not equip HLN-A, she is just there. That is on genesis only. The one you equip is just like a chibi and is not interactable the only thing it does is say two or three lines and scan the new genesis notes scattered on the island, scorched, abb and extinction.

So if you want to interact with her make sure your friends server is on the genesis map

Actually, I'm not. That would be why then. I'm still pretty new to the game, and on The Island. This would be the problem. THanks a ton!

There's a cosmetic pet that fits the offhand slot but it doesn't do anything. If you are able to use a mod on your server there is one for a functioning HLN-A for non-Genesis maps...
