Tame (or make unconcious) alphas or pack leaders???

No. Animals like Raptors, Direwolves, Deinonychus, Allosaurs, etc are able to get what is called a pack buff when in a pack of 3 or more. The highest level in the pack gets the buff normally. The buff iirc is a damage/defense buff, but I am not sure of the percentage off the top of my head. This buff can be distinguished by it's orange glowing aura, while the Alpha has a more crimson red aura that surrounds it. Also alpha's tend to be much larger than their normal counterparts, and cannot be picked up by fliers.

Also note Alpha's are immune to bola's. Learned that the hard way against an Alpha Raptor when I was new at the game many moons ago. lol Learn from my mistakes.

Yes animals with a pack buff are still tame-able through normal means while Alpha's (ones with the red aura and larger than normal counterpart) are not.

Also, fun fact: Alpha Raptors can't dismount or pin you down like normal Raptors.
