Are all flying creatures at the same speed now?

My wyvern is totally weak somehow he does barely damage and I can't see any differences in speed compared to other creatures. Will you be able to change this in future? I mean, flying was one of my favourite things in this game but now It got boring as hell.

They all have their own speeds, pteradon and griffins being the quickest atm. Argents and wyverns are both pretty slow and the quetz more or less floats around now.

Wow.... well, they totally destroyed the feeling from this game then which is sad. It was so much better before. I hope they'll give us at least an option to change everything back I mean this is absolutely horrible for pve in my oppinion. Me and friend lost motivation playing after discovering this nightmare :(

Though no, they're not all the same speed. The Wyvern is the fastest, and about the only thing I use anymore. From there it goes Pteranodon (Not bad really) Tapejara, Argentavis (ergh annoyingly slow now) and then... The Quetzal, which is so slow I haven't touched mine in months.

Yeah, a bunch of people whined so the devs nerfed all fliers so you can outrun them on foot by level 15 (maybe 10)... basically the argy is slower than a real-life butterfly, the rest are slightly faster.

They *should have* made it selectable, so people who don't play pvp can revert to the old speeds (and ability to add levels to speed).

There's an awesome mod that totally saves the game called Classic Fliers (~2500 hours and I stopped playing for well over a month when they nerfed 'em, Classic Fliers made it playable again).

Load up Ragnarok and try out a Griffin.... even though the Wyvern is possibly slightly faster in normal flight, it sure doesn't feel like it when you're the one riding it, Wyverns are still pretty fast but feel so slow in comparison..... the Griff also has an awesome dive ability that drastically increases its speed..... I'd say far beyond that of the Wyverns......and to top it all off, you can shoot while mounted on a Griffin..... it's easily the most fun flyer in the game if you ask me, and if you haven't tried one out yet, it may be just what you need to restore your faith in flyers...... oh and it's damage is pretty laughable, so you generally want to try to stay out of fights unless you're going to be shooting.

i undertstand the speed scaling between all the flyers a no brainer ..what should be for the majority. but the quets needs a slight tweak.

quetz is flying base, no need to buff it.

Other flyers ok, Wyvern is fastest, can outrun wild wyverns. Also has great damage for flyer and AOE.

Griffin with skydiving can outrun Wyvern. Needs to get used to skydiving thou.

Argentavis has most stamina and decent weight, i use it instead of wyvern.

Tapejara hoverboat is great too, speed betveen argy and ptera.

Ptera only lacks any usability until you level it into stamina to outrun wyverns barreling.

The argie needs several times more stamina than the others just to travel the same distance though, its stupid and mine have remained parked pretty much since the nerf

Griffin is the fastest, not the wyverns.

If you ask me the flyer nerf makes the least sense in the case of the Argie...... Birds of prey tend to move pretty fast when they want to.... to make what should possibly be the fastest flying mount the slowest doesn't make a wholoe lot of sense.... the Griffin kinda feels like what the Argie *should* be in terms of flying style and speed if you ask me.
