Help!! Ultra White Sky? (FIXED)
So I am having this strange ultra white sky. I have an imgur link below to check out some screen caps. I looked high and low for a solution. I played with the video settings for about two hours last night while flying around ragnarok. No Mods that alter lighting. My tribe mates complain of it alway being too dark. I can see perfectly at night. I cannot find any gamma settings anywhere. Anyone have any advice please reply. Thank you.

Win10 Pro 64bit
GTX 970 with latest drivers.
AMD 8320
16GB Ram

Not sure how you managed to get that view distance without fog in first 4 screenshots - but it's called atmospheric fog and if you try it in dx11 (without d3d10 or sm4 startoption) it looks better.
here some comparisons: http://steamcommunity.com/app/346110/discussions/0/2132869574268871566/

In launch options i put -simplesky and it made the haze go away.

Which suggestion fixed it? Adding -simplesky or removing -d3d10 and -sm4?

dx11 only mr. seafodder.

I added -simplesky and removed -d3d10 and it worked for me.

As far is i know the command "-simplesky" does nothing - if you wanna use the simplesky add in "-nomansky"

Its a launch modifier. there are other threads that discuss it and what it does.

I was gonna post what Minimal-Style wrote, Jeremy himself said to use -nomansky to run simplesky

That doesnt spesifically state to use -simplesky as a launch parameter, where have they been saying that? Jeremy himself said its with -nomansky

It was said right here in this thread. Where was it offically said I am not sure. I have seen other threads on steam about it too. Not saying you are wrong. Someone else said it wasnt a thing.

First i made the wrong assumption because of the patch notes, i thought that simple sky activates the fog of death (strong white/cyan atmospheric fog) - but it was the conversion to dx10 that activates that. The normal (in dx11/simplesky) atomspheric fog is much lighter.

I think people get confused with it because the comman "-nomansky" activates the Simple Sky mechanics, so the just assumed to put in "-simplesky".
But in the end - if it works and doesent hurt, everthing is okay :)
