Easy to reach, safe place to tame argies in Ragnarok?
I'm playing on a pvp server where the alphas constantly wipe the new players, usually within an hour after you reach stone

Finally found a relatively safe space to build in but there's basically no resources here. I'll need an argy to transport resources here til I can craft metal building parts and turrets and set up a new base all at once in a better position

I need a spot that I can reach on foot, that isn't too infested with things like troodons or yutyrannus, and which isnt that likely to get me spotted by patrolling alphas on griffons such as under a tree canopy. Does anyone know of such a place?

25 25 has lots, plus tunnels and cover etc. Depends where you are at now.

I'll try ty. That's exactly where I was, built in a tiny base in a cave behind a breakable rock. I didn't think anyone would come into a cave just for stone but apparently they found me anyway and wiped me again

Now I found another cave, my base is basically in the open this time but off a side path, but I managed to scrap together enough resources for an auto turret and some scuba gear so I think I might be able to get more of them. Current plan is to keep diving for pearls with my scuba and keep spamming out more turrets til I run out of CP and have to think about getting an argy again

If your gonna go solo on a pvp server, id suggest to not try to build for defense. You will never keep up with a tribe in resources, you will get raided and you wont be able to stop them. Instead of building your base to keep ppl out, build your base to keep ppl in. Turn the inside into a maze, fill it with traps, turrets, small nasty dinos. Make it as painful as possible on them once they get inside. And then hide all your loot someplace else so that when they do go to the trouble of breaking into your stuff they get nothing for it. You cant compete with a tribe on an even basis, so think like a guerilla fighter and fight dirty.

Good advice. I honestly wouldn't even bother building a base. Put up a few single foundation outposts with forge, smithy etc to keep your stuff in repair if you manage to live long enough to need it. Don't stockpile any resources. Hide storage boxes with sets of gear wherever you find a tiny little hidey hole. Focus on leveling up, stealing stuff, and maybe taming throwaways for use for a single game session. Hell even do some cross ark travel and make friends on other servers, if you leave nothing behind you have nothing to lose.

Tame a pteradon.

Then using the pteradon, lure your desired argent to a place that satisfies your "safe" taming considerations. Perhaps even luring it to a taming trap or similar that you build.

Well my usual strategy is to use multiple bases. I don't really have anything in them and they're usually fairly hidden in close proximity to important resources with 1 or 2 auto turrets each. I try to transport light resources between bases to craft the turrets but otherwise avoid using dinos thta just end up dying. I try to build the bases very flat and wide and out of metal so that when they are found they are resource intensive to destroy, and since most bases are in proximity of metal it isnt too har dto patch up a damaged base or even totally replace a wiped one.

I never have anything worth taking anyway but a 5x5 and 2 block tall metal base with 2 auto turrets is fairly annoying and resource intensive for them to wipe so my hope is they'd just give up if I can keep quickly repairing or replacing them. Who's going to keep spending so many rocket if I just keep replacing them immediately?

It worked well for The Center but metal and paste are much harder for me to get on Ragnarok. Metal is everywhere but in small quantities so I can make repairs easily enough but not totally replace a wiped base immediately with these rates, and there's really only one place for me to go to get the paste although at least I don't need that much of it, getting the paste from there to other bases has proven difficult. On The Center people usually flew argies or pteras, I could ship paste around with a ptera and I usually wouldn't be pursued but I've got a lot of Wyverns and Griffons patrolling here and the map is just so small to lose them

Might go deep sea exploring, see if I can discover some new underwater cave but while swimming down there I saw a player with a tuso and a tamed mosa following it, and someone complained he grappled their wyvern with a squid so I dunno, maybe he's hiding down there from alphas but since he managed to tame a squid I think it's more likely he's with the alphas and wiping people who go down there
