Black Dye & Wyvern Warpaint

It'd be nice if black dye would actually work when using it on Dinosaurs, it's okay for most structures and armour but with dinosaurs it feels like it's at 90% transparency, it'd be nice if the black dye actually painted the dinos and humans black.

Also, I tried to paint my wyverns yesturday. I used Royalty because black is useless and it worked initially but when I flew away and flew back it was gone. I tried to paint it again but now it's completely unresponsive to paint.
No matter what colour I use it no longer reflects it on the paintable model or the overworld one. Is this a known issue or am I just unlucky for having it happen to all 3 wyverns I tried it on?
