At some point my lystro still has weight to spare but will not accept any more in his inventory.
^ is the answer. Only if you got enough available weight.
I can not prove but suspect the max slots was put into place when there was issues with crashing while transfering a large amounts of stuff. It is easier to place limits than to fix the real underlying issue just like putting a delay in force feeding meat to a conivore since the rapid feeding caused crashes (of which the delay was further adjusted to atleast twice as long of a delay as it was when first introduced with out any patch notes claiming it was changed).
Either limit by weight or max slots. Not both. I prefer limiting by weight only.
The mini monkeys take care of my spare fertilizer :p
edit: it was update 175 so a while back
We use weight leveled bears to store medium weight items (charcoal, sparkpowder), mesopithecuses leveled on weight are excellent to store low weight items (thatch, cementing paste, fiber, hide) - in addition they are much smaller than the lockers they are mobile, so I can place them where I need them.
It is incorrect, the slotnumber was maxed way before it. I'm using animals for storage for months... also max slot comes in as a limiting factor when I harvest thatch with a rino or wood with a mammoth....
