Max Invetory Slots
Is there a maximum amount of slots in your inventory now? I am not hitting my max weight but I can't carry any more items. If this is so then we need to add some stacking options for some items. Main item I can think of would be Fertilizer. I, and most people, have a lot of plant to take care of, and the fact that fertilizer can't stack means that I can't carry enough of that anymore. I'm sure there are other things, but I posted this upon the discovery of gather some fert. Anyone else having issues with any other items?

I hit the same issue when I tried to put some more blueprints on my lystro. I have bookshelves for the best bp's but I keep the others for some stupid reason, in case someone in chat says "Anybody have a sloped wall left adobe blueprint?"

At some point my lystro still has weight to spare but will not accept any more in his inventory.

It's always been this way as far as I am aware. I don't know what the limit is but I started using a stacking mod because high level dinos couldn't fit all the meat/berries/whatever even though their weight capacity allowed it.

the limit depend also of the weight, more weight = more slots

^ is the answer. Only if you got enough available weight.

Everything has maximim slots. Mid game, it is not practical to use storage containers for hide, chitin, fertilizer and other low weight items that you have heaps of so using a dino as storage is a good idea but you will always hit the storage limit with these items rather than the weight limit.

It is just interesting. I've never hit it before and I've been mass producing fertilizer. I just wasn't sure if it was just implemented or what. You would think after 1000 hours that I would have come across it by now.

The max slots was introduced along with or shortly after the major update to this newer UI. I personnaly don't like the max slots since our dinos are resricted on weight.
I can not prove but suspect the max slots was put into place when there was issues with crashing while transfering a large amounts of stuff. It is easier to place limits than to fix the real underlying issue just like putting a delay in force feeding meat to a conivore since the rapid feeding caused crashes (of which the delay was further adjusted to atleast twice as long of a delay as it was when first introduced with out any patch notes claiming it was changed).
Either limit by weight or max slots. Not both. I prefer limiting by weight only.

There were max slots before. I used to cram my lystrosaurs and dodos full of fertilizer until they couldn't carry anymore, which capped at 300 slots. So they've always had a cap but not many tried to cap them out I guess.

My lystros are filled with spare blueprints :)
The mini monkeys take care of my spare fertilizer :p

My mesopithecus was capped with blueprints (300) more than 6 month ago so it not a new thing.
edit: it was update 175 so a while back

Animals are really good storage spaces - with their 300 slot inventory.

We use weight leveled bears to store medium weight items (charcoal, sparkpowder), mesopithecuses leveled on weight are excellent to store low weight items (thatch, cementing paste, fiber, hide) - in addition they are much smaller than the lockers they are mobile, so I can place them where I need them.

It is incorrect, the slotnumber was maxed way before it. I'm using animals for storage for months... also max slot comes in as a limiting factor when I harvest thatch with a rino or wood with a mammoth....
