Collector's Edition or Console Sell-out Edition?

So... Collector's Edition is only for PS4 and Xbox players from what I can find. What about the core PC gaming community that invested in this originally? I'd love to have a map or dossier. However, re-purchasing the game for a console I don't own is ridiculous.

There was a mention of possible collector's edition without the game for those who already have it at E3 but I honestly cannot find any more information. I am considering pre-ordering and just selling the game since I already own it (don't have PS4 or Xbox anyhow)

For $159 it really isn't worth it to get a cloth map of the island, a necklace, a poster of the devs, and a wooden box. If this somehow offends you, then you should be ashamed of yourself.

True that on the rest but getting this would be awesome --> Handcrafted leather-bound Explorer's Notebook, featuring the Dossiers of every creature you'll find in "ARK: Survival Evolved", over 100 of them!

According to the release they may be able to provide a "physical Items only" version of the collectors edition with no game.

From the official information page....

"As of now, picking up this package is the only way to get the exclusive bonus items, however, if we’re able to sell out the initial stock, we will order another set that includes all of the above, minus the game. The reason we’re not able to do this currently is due to the high cost of producing these physical products."

What about the core PC gaming community? It's obvious, they already sold several million copies through steam, so not much more to gain from steam anymore. We, the core PC gaming community get screwed over hard, with a incomplete game as a kiss-off

LOL, it's called marketing. If PC gets a Collector's Edition (and Explorer's Edition), and I wouldn't be surprised if it does, it will come with the price increase of the base game in July. Just like the console versions came with the price increase.

Collector's is $160, with the base game being $60 of that. People are far more likely to justify to themselves spending an extra $100 when it's $40 (estimated based on Explorer Edition price) for a season pass and $60 worth of physical goods. People certainly are much less likely to justify to themselves an extra $130 dollars (PC version still at $30 currently) for the same.

Unless I'd get like a sweet 15 inch or so tall T-Rex or some ♥♥♥♥, I could care less for a collectors edition personally.

im with Quinn, instead of physical goods i'd rather have a stable, hack free game experience.
