Ragnarok resources.

Posted this in the Rag forums as well, but it's slow there. I've not played on Ragnarok before, and was curious where the majority of metal/crystal hide? Perhaps I've been spoiled by The Center, but it seems super rare. I've found crystal in one place, and it wasn't on top of a mountain. (Was in the Mudslide region I think?) And I've only found metal in small amounts. Are there little hubs near good resource spawns anywhere that ISN'T a death sentence to call home?

It seems to be everywhere yet not as concentrated in one area. I think this is a good idea so that you don't have one concentrated area that everyone tries to barrier off for their own or stick foundations in to keep others from getting it. There's a lot of metal just spread more evenly. i actually like this way better myself.

Does anyone know if the Ragnarok map DLC has any sources anywhere to get Cactus Sap?

Apparently there are cactus plants in the SE desert region.

on ragnarok, there is no single concentration of resources that i can see. its evenly spread around the map. i think this is a good idea. it means that your not competing for metal or anything from everyone from the same single concentrated location.

just have a look around, you'll find it. crystal was a pain at the start, but i found a good supply.

yeah, ragnarok as all elements from normal ark and SE in it. some snow areas are -29c, while others are >50c. its awesome.

Crystal, Obs and Metal is everywhere in small quantities in addition to the caves above.

There is a beaver sanctuary which is a huge lake with a heap of beavers building dams, forget where it is, flew around the whole map for hours and now locations are muddled up in my head.

I found some oil deposits that you can put an oil well on, check out my post here for location;

the map is not finished so some of the se resources are inaccessible unfortunately. I know i was mad i wanted to run a server with only tents :)

I think you mean Beaver Sanctuary. It's located just to the right of the small snowy area in the upper left quadrant of the map. Also on the right side end of the lake there are two caves called Beaver Cave and Beaver Falls Cave that have beaver dams in them usually.

You can still run a server just turn the wall off! You can fly thru it running your own server!

What resource are you looking for? Everything you need to make tents are on the map.
