Need clarification on pegomastax taming
i loaded up with 2k mejoberries, found a nice pego. placed it in a 3x3 wood box.
i let it steal from me, it takes 100 mejo berries from last slow, gains about %9 progress. its fine until this point where it starts to lose taming progress rapidly such that by the next pickpocket attempt 100 mejo berries have got me a measly %1-1.5 taming progress.

i thougth this was because of player structures (like how you cant feed giant bee if it touches base walls), tried one in wild and it was still losing progress. tried running away and hiding after pickpocket to no avail.

then i tried it in a box again and i just stood still. there was no progress loss.

i'm at a loss as to why progress loss happens and how i can do this best.

you do that without break? i think each time they hit something they lost hp and in timer too they still dying slow, i saw that my first time taming this dinos

you dont need to move just let them steal your berrys in the number 0
im not doing anything to pego. we are in a room and it hits me runs away 20 seconds while losing progress and comes back to hit me again.
it shouldnt be losing hp since its not getting hit.

Pegos always lose taming percentages while eating. Don't give them a hundred berries at once, he will take longer to eat them all. I found 20 to be the best number of berries to give him at once.
nobody can help? i know i had it not losing progress once...
