Super Turkeys

Hi all. I'm playing Survival Evolved on the One (yes - on console - please don't hate me!), using no mods, playing SP, PvE only, and was loving the game until the super turkeys arrived. I'm level 24 and up til last night had hide shirt, trousers, etc, some spears and a bow and arrows, so not much in the way of armour or weapons. I had grinded / ground to have about 200 each of wood, fibre, thatch, hides, etc and was enjoying myself just exploring and hunting each day slowly getting my xp up and building and making slowly better and better things. I had a small camp with a couple of wooden walls next to a thatch shelter and a campfire etc on the beach at the south of the island. Now I'm naked again and have no wood, hides, spears, bows or anything else because of the bloody turkeys. There's one right next to my camp and it always sees me. Once it even followed me into my thatch shelter and killed me. Every time I spawn and grab some stuff to build some spears the thing kills me.

Is there anyway of getting rid of those? I've read about the gigantosaurus and the 150 trank arrows etc, but clearly this isn't practical for a level24 naked, single guy with no resources and a crazy turkey that kills him every time he spawns.

Is there a cmd line i can enter to get right of the buggers? As I said, playing on the One, SP, PvE only. Or do I just need to wait until after the US have done the Thanksgiving thing?
Otherwise, frankly, I'm done with this game...all the enjoyment I had felt in the hours I had put in disappeared in the space of about 2 hours yesterday...

Several ways to get rid of them if you want to use commands. "destroymytarget" is one of those, even though it might be hard for you to get close enough to your target. In that case use "ghost". fly up to him, "destroymytarget" or "kill" and then "walk" to end the ghost-mode. Or just go for the nuclear option and "destroywilddinos". All those are used without the ".
Edit: Just realised you're playing on the Xbone but the wiki says they use the same commands. Here's a list:

To get rid of them legit, the sword will actually be able to kill them.

Are you talking about a terror bird, or the super turkeys from turkey trial. Because to my knowledge turkey trial hasn't started yet :/

To get rid of it legit, get it to agro and then run away leading it as far as you can! Once you are far away, let it kill you! Respawn at the base and enjoy your life without turkey!
If one more spawns after some time, do the same thing again!

Or u can just make a bola trap it with that and kill it.. not that hard :)

He said he lives in thatch house... don't think bola is an option for him and stone pickaxe does not do too much damage either! :)

You can craft Bolas quite early in the gamend actually

Thanks all for your advice. I've tried the bola, but didn't think it would be useful as I'd already speared the little bugger in the face about 7 times and it still killed me and with the bola I'd probably miss a load of times. Does it do enough damage to be of use against something as horrible and tough as the Super Turkeys?

I may just try the run-away-and-die option (thanks Smirnoff) but will definitely use the admin commands. Can't wait for Thanksgiving to be over and done!

The bolas doesn't do damage but it keeps the turkey in place for a while so you can spear it from behind where it can't peck you

Sometimes in early stages it is best to just relocate as certain animals are in certain places, later you can move back and wipe em out.

Turkey trial started early for the Xbox players, should see the posts and griping at the official, and independant of steam, forums for Ark.
