As far as torpor damage... I'm not sure, but I took a thorny dragon out to test it on a trike that was stuck on a tree near my base on the Center, trike was only level 34, and it took emptying the thorny dragons stamina bar four times to knock it out. Very ineffective I think on that front.
I don't remember how much she had at the time, I've leveled her since then. I can however re-run the test with her current stats.
Lets see... Here she is. Toothless Fury... Melee damage of 337.5% and has a max stamina of 1470, now lets go find a target... Level 18 male Trike should do.
Total stamina bars to knock out the trike: 3 full stamina bars, and he took... 66.7 damage total (533.3/600 health at knock out) to fill up 505 torpor. thats the first test. Secpmd test. the results where near identical, though only took 2 full stamina bars and half of a third. I may have hit with more of the spines the second test run through.
Still the cost to just knock out a low end trike... over 2900 stamina... yeah its not very efficient attack.
Just wish the tail spine damage scaled with melee. There seems to be no difference between a thorny with high melee and low...
