Can a pteradon outrun a wyvern
Are the speeds of tapejara and pteradons the same and what must the speed of the pteradon be to outrun wyverns?

Pteradon are faster than Tapejara, I'm not sure what % they have to be to be faster than Wyverns however.

Not sure about pteradons, but youtuber ShipWrekt did a video on tapejara and how fast they need to be to steal eggs. 200 speed barely got away and believe it was close to a 180 speed argy. 225 work good and was close to a 200 speed argy.

Is the tapejara or argentavis fater?

it depends on how many points you have put into speed, at tame level speed (100%) on 2 of the same level birds (both birds are lvl 100) I find the argent is usually faster but the Tape seems to get more points in speed when leveled up than the argent does, so it will end up faster than the argent.

I have never had a Tape and a Argent that tamed at the exact same level so Im based what I said on tames that were close in level, you coulds try spawning in a argent and a tape of the same level "dotame" on both, then spawn in a wyvern and see what one out runs it better before and after they have leveled up.

Outrun? Might be hard, you'll need a fast pteranodon if you are fighting tamed wyverns. Outmaneuver? Pteranodon so can turn on a dime, and Wyverns have a turn radius of the SR71

My 170-180% speed birds make me pace myself when luring a wyvern, but considering you have to get fairly close to aggro one sometimes, it can be very helpful for that initial burst when right on top of them. Ptera, that is.

petras at 180%+ can outrun wyvern fairly easy. But the cant realy tank. So try avoid being hit or the will die very fast. Other than that they are very nice.

Argentavis

I know you need a 250% move speed on an argy to reliably out run a wyvern.

think i've started snatching on a ptera around 175, have to out fly it for sure. snag it on rocks, sharp turns into cliffs etc, same if you use a argy over 180. i get teased for this but i usually make a pure ms wyvern early on to snatch eggs with, its not easy to learn to fly it but once you do, i snatch every egg in the valley in under 5 mins without running from ♥♥♥♥. i dont have to run because they de-render when i take off anyway. can hit the map ceiling with my best ms wyvern in about 5 seconds.

Depends on the Wyvern 210+ can out run a poison or fire but not a lightning, currently have 226 (I think would have to check) on my argi and still not keen on racing a lightning wyvern due to my argi havin low hp.

Argi vs Tapa again 226 on argi tapa has 259 or 269 and in honesty the argi feels faster, I'd say ptera could easily out run a wyvern at 220% +

A 120% speed Wyvern can outrun at 260% speed Ptera, but not by much.

If your talking wild, you need a 180% speed argent or a 225% speed tape to be able to outrun them. Both of those values are minimums, and should really be used with focal chilli.

wouldnt advise doing the min, lost a lot of birds being impatient.

I have raised nearly 3 dozen wyverns with these "mins" just using focal chilli. Haven't lost a Argy or Tape since I started milking to wyverns.
