Bloodstalker Keeps Droping Me

So I am currently trying to tame a 140 Bloodstalker but every time it grabs me it drops me half way, and this is with every bloodstalker and I cant find anything about this problem, so has anyone else had this problem and found how to fix it?

Are you wearing glider wings? If so that is most likely the cause.

um he obviously didnt say anything about wearing one so thanks for nothing. i have died 8 times because it keeps dropping me and eveyone else seems to have a fine and dandy time taming one except for the ammount of blood packs it need and dododex is wrong btw

and honestly this game has so many problems since i started playing back in 2017. every dlc has been late there are still major bugs and errors with almost every map. im almost done with this game. i should be able to play on a solo server and actually enjoy myself but now i feel like i wasted my money on this ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ game.

It is just the positioning of it on the tree, if you hit a trunk or branch on your way up or if it isn't precisely under the branch it will drop you. You can get it onto the ground by shooting it and then run up to it so it grabs you. I am not sure if you can use moschops to improve efficiency once it gets on the ground so might be an issue if you want 100%

I had this also, dunno if it's the glider suit im wearing or the grapling hook but it was a pain to tame one.
I then tried to grapple just right to it's face which finally worked

for me it worked when i had no item in my hand, maybe thats why?

Go to genesis 2, the rockwell side. Go into the south half, all the way to the very southwest corner, and bloodstalkers are just walking around on the ground. No trees, nothing to latch too. You can pick them up with big flyers and then drop them into taming pens. No fuss no muss.
