Lost all engram points?
So I understand they did a reset on characters even effecting single player games... Fine. However I've lost something like 1600 engram points as well as my engrams reset? But there's still recipes in my craft list.

Now stuck with 32 engram points at level 94? Single player vanilla settings so basically max level. Why the F are they resetting single player games anyway?

This is why my review is the way it is... Good game ruined by massive game breaking bugs. What does dev do? RELEASE NEW CONTENT!!! Seriously tho, this game never left beta.

I can't recall every single engram or how many points I had spent..

I totally agree with you about Wildcard and the way they manage the game (We had a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ of broken updates. I guess they hold a record there)

However if that's Single Player, you can configure how many Engram Points (EP) you earn for each character level, so it's not a big deal ?

You simply have to add this lines to you Game.ini file ( [STEAM FOLDER]\SteamApps\common\ARK\ShooterGame\Saved\Config\WindowsNoEditor\Game.ini ):

OverridePlayerLevelEngramPoints=1 OverridePlayerLevelEngramPoints=5 OverridePlayerLevelEngramPoints=5 OverridePlayerLevelEngramPoints=10 ... OverridePlayerLevelEngramPoints=100

You just have to add that line the same number of level you can earn in your Single Player. You said 94 in your post, that means you can Level up 93 times, which means this line must appear 93 times in your Game.ini file.

Each line correspond to a level up. The first one for the first level up (which means when you go from level 1 to level 2) and so on.

That way you can control how many EP you earn throughout your progression

PS: Isn't the max level with vanilla Settings 100? Otherwise you couldn't learn some engrams because the level requirement would be unreachable.. ?

While I appreciate the sentiment, the advice and the effort you put forth to post... Sounds like I have to do an hours worth of labor to get my engrams back.. Which is absolutely ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ridiculous. I shouldn't have to labor to get what I already paid and played for. This Dev shouldn't be resetting single player ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ games...

So incredibly frustrated with this game. It's so good but stupid ♥♥♥♥ like this makes it trash.

Thanks anyway.

You don't have to learn everything on the list. For example, if you have a blueprint for a saddle of a creature, why bother learning the engram? Personally, if I have a lot of saddle blueprints, I keep 2 of them: the cheapest and the best one. Anything else I either toss or store somewhere AWAY from my crafting stations.

Indeed, which is why I had over 1500 engram points saved up at level 94. Lots I didn't need, lots I hadn't got to. Thanks for the tip and post.

I suppose I'll get around to laboring to get my points back. Still a crock of ♥♥♥♥. Analogous to having to go back in the kitchen at a restaurant and fix the meal you ordered, were served, partially enjoyed then all of a sudden was taken away. Because this is gaming post early access market.

I do miss the days when we got a game that wasn't released as a beta. We've nobody to blame but ourselves tho, as consumers we have the power of choice.

Yeah something weird is going on, before he last patch i had spare points on SP, but i needed a crash/relog to get all my levels back. Now i'm almost out of points and still havn't learned AB/EX/Genesis engrams that i had before the mindwipe reset.

Kinda moved back to SP to avoid having to manually adjust the engrams points, but seems like i have to now again, as something is clearly missing from the default leveling table atm specically for SP.

I have it set on my .ini settings to automatically learn all the engrams corresponding to a level. Here's the setting I added:
bAutoUnlockAllEngrams=true

Mind you, this is for my Single Player session.

Hm, completed the edit and still stuck at 32 engram points, you sure that edit isn't just changing the engram points gained per level?

Edit: Seems bed port forced another reset for whatever reason.. Engram points restored. Still salty tho.
