How do you type the gamma command to change lighting?

Press tab first and then write Gamma (Number) Depending on what gamma you want the bigger the number the brighter, if you want to reset to normal gamma write gamma without a number.

you can assign hotkeys for this now, it's in the settings.

Just an FYI: "normal" gamma would be a value of 2.2. I believe the maximum value is 9, anything greater won't have any additional effect. But gamma 9 will be very bright and washed out anyway.

I know about the hotkey settings. But there are times around sunrise or sunset where you want to change gamma and you don't want to change the only two options you have hotkeyed.

I never got the tab trick to work btw.

Just make a hotkey for the command line.
