Build a wall, sloped wall on top, use that as a snap-point and stick up the sloped roof bits, then demolish the wall-pieces. Result: SOMETIMES the roof stays put. Sometimes it immediately shatters. I cannot for the life of me figure out WHY. I do the exact same thing over and over, and on occasion, it works - mostly, it doesn't.
Clearly, the game has some kind of 'load-bearing' mechanic, but it's just as clearly rather illogical and inconsistent... does anyone have any insights?
That Demo Gun sounds like just the thing for my construction-projects, though...
EDIT: I just got it! You're talking about Structure Plus, right? Looks brilliant - definitely getting it! (Though I AM a bit concerned about how it'll interact with the big-stacks mod I'm running...)
Just be aware... once you start using a structure mod... you cannot remove it or you will lose everything you've made from it.
Having said that... s+ is *the* best imo... coupled with Automated Ark for even better PvE experience.
