nailed it, the flexible pipe is a connection pipe, you can only place it if there are two available snap points (other pipes) with in a short distance.
Ahh ok so that's what they are for, I was wondering myself what their deal was, thanks for the heads up.
Not really.. it'll allow you to build less restrictive water networks by combining two different ones which I can see some appeal in tbh ^^
Allows you to freely build water networks as you see fit without having to worry about not being able to connect them to the water in the way you wanted.
Can build intake and pipes anywhere you like and connect them with flex tape.. I mean flex pipe :D
No, it's not pointless. It is exactly the same as the electrical. It lets you place things where you want and then you can patch it together with the flex pipes where the connections don't meet.
I'm not trying to start an argument with you just trying to help you out.
You can do exactly what you're suggesting but you need to use a vertical pipe for the tap to connect and the flex pipe to connect it to a network.
You are the one starting the argument by saying it's worthless. We simply pointed out that it is not worthless and is extremely useful the way it works. You choose to ignore everything and just stick with your feelings rather than seeing things how they really are simply because you cannot use it in a fashion that it wasn't intended for.
Before the flex pipes, you either had to design your system ahead of time with it in mind and not changed any design plans, or pretty much run a completely separate line from the cooker to the source. Now, you just place a pipe with an end where you want the center of the cooker, add pipe to get close to your existing network, and then use a flex pipe.
... and that is ignoring the pain that was trying to get verticals to line up with your floors.
But just being able to have the Water Tank as a starting point after running ur intake and flexible pipes helps a ton just run it till its like right outside ur base place a foundation and tank to connect to then u can take it from their with the normie pipes
