I'm not holding my breath. I'll be playing EU4 or something for a while until they get their act together.
That is ok behavior for a Early Access product.
It however is NOT acceptable behavior for a full release product.
I may change my review...
They didn't even test this ♥♥♥♥... That much is obvious!
( Lets not go into the fact we all know, that this game isn't polished enough to be release in the first place ).
Trust me I know what they are known for with 2k hours in.
Not trying to be rude, just stating a fact that they NO LONGER have that excuse...
Not to mention the fact they have known about this issue for days now with no fix. How long could it possibly take to fix a mod that worked in the first place?
Not to mention another fact that it's simple snap points...
Unacceptable in every way... especially for those wanting to play and build on my server that can't because they didn't properly test a patch.
Lets not even start with the major stutters, freezes and spikes in this patch... no excuse...
Hardly mine or any of our problem, and again absolutely not even close to being a excuse either.
What you're saying is they just shovel ♥♥♥♥ out the door because they hopped on another EA Title and it's our problem...?
If it wasn't ready don't shovel it out the door... Pretty straight forward.
This isn't an issue of not properly testing, its an issue of deadlines and how deceptively complicated even small fixes can be. There comes a point where the devs have to stop making changes and release what they have, while continuing to work on fixing things behind the scenes.
As for "how hard could it be" well, first off they have to figure out what the other guy did and how it works. On top of that, besides figuring out how to fix the targeted issue, any changes they make in doing so may wind up breaking other things due to interfering with how they work.
That's why a lot of times bugs don't get fixed or take a long time, they're hesitant to go down a potentially costly and time consuming rabbit hole if it isn't seriously game breaking.
You are kidding me right!?
Sorry m8 Zombie_Barioth what you just said makes absolutly no sense at all... that big post you just wrote, only proves and states basically yourself that it is a Testing issue sir. Read what you wrote please... lmao. It's called tesing and testing and testing until it's right, BEFORE YOU RELEASE IT.
Don't talk to me like I don't know how things are done...
They had no dead line, everybody and their mom uses S+ mods and worked fine... NOBODY was jumping up and down asking for them to implement it right this second..... They shoveled this patch KNEW WAS BROKE IN BETA TESTING IN JANUARY AND DIDN'T FIX......... Oh yes, in the beta testing notes and logs, was logged as a issue in January.
I am not yelling at you just making a point and you sir are the one who doesn't know how this works... It is game breaking when you can't build in the game that is dependent upon building sir... OR you have to build with regular blocks that KIND OF DEFEATS THE ENTIRE PURPOSE OF IMPLEMENTING S+ MOD WHEN YOU CAN'T USE IT! That would also be the reason that every forum from here to reddit is on fire about this issue right now to huh? It's not game breaking you say?
I seriously don't know how or what someone was thinking by screwing this up so badly on their FEATURE patch and update... I mean seriously what is on your brain and then you want people to buy your next game Atlas when you cut your own throat like this...!?
Sabotage your own product...
It was simple, If it's not working properly don't release a patch you know full well is a issue and say oops... Not like it's a small issue either that is hard to find it takes 2 seconds to figure out S+ foundations don't snap... Your premier mod implementation doesn't work... small bug my ass!
Please don't post again, go make excuses elsewhere... I ask again, how do you screw up a Mod that WORKS Perfectly fine FOR YEARS when you "implement" it in your game? Yes, Zombie_Barioth this would be a straight forward adoption sir... not much to it when the MOD worked just fine to begin with... Had it's issues but ARK is FAR from a Polished game itself.
No Excuse at all for this, there is absolutely, positively NO excuse for this what so ever.
We seem to have got derailed from my OP anyways... Thanks to those that gave me quick answer that started me taking my time to dig on this issue instead of playing with what free time I get. I found out several things and yes, has been known issues since January...
Thanks again to those gave their time to reply to my OP.
