So I guess what I,m saying is, if we all stop playing, they get to close a lot of servers, and save a lot of money. Given that, I don't think they need to care all that much about the player base.
Besides the fact that this is a Steam forum. You want official commentary and word look in the actual Ark Survival forums.

Well, they have already acknowledged the problem.
And what frustrates people is not that there are bugs, but that some of these things, like the S+ lack of snapping problem, were detected by the players and reported in beta. This is the purpose of beta. But they released it anyway, despite the reports, and without having fixed it first.
This sort of thing is highly aggravating. Known bugs being ignored before an update...
It's painful watching these jackwagons screw up everything they touch. It's astounding.
Except that they broke unofficial servers too, which cost them nothing but our good will, which prompted me to buy their Season Pass when Extinction was released, after which they released the next expansion as an entirely new game, not included in Season Pass.
I'll probably never again give them another dime unless they fix this soon.
I've played both Anarchy Online and The Secret World within weeks of their release, and still do every year or so for a couple of months, for a monthly fee, so Conan Exiles have cropped up from time in their forums (same developer), but having played Ark before CE was released, I had no reason to switch, plus it sounded like Ark fit my preferred playing style better.
Which it did, until this latest patch. Which I'm guessing only affected non-official servers/players? Or did it affect official as well? The freezing/crashing issues, yeah I can see affecting both. But S+ not snapping, surely not?
Regardless, I'm obviously willing to pay a monthly fee, if that's what it takes to play a good quality game that is fun.
It's lunch money, ya know?
If I loose it all (starved dinos and auto decay) it will be time to move on after playing casual for years.
Open source, everyone can fix it, call bob!
At least one huge advantage of SP is that nothing runs while the game is shut down, so I can wait until WC fixes it (if they do) and then even if it's weeks from now, my dinos will be fine.
Doesn't help the rest of you though, and I do feel for ya.
Remember when video games used to be an entertainment product instead of a "business model?" Pepperidge Farms remembers.
Oh man you are dating yourself now.... LOL.
(I remember those commercials too)
I don't even know what your comment is supposed to mean.
What I'm saying is that people's Stockholm syndrome to games now a days is as such that they automatically think that infinite payments to play a game up and over charging for additional content is a legitimate "business model."
