Hosting a free ps4 ark server on PC

I want to know if there are any way to host a free ark server on my laptop for me and my friends to play on

An example of both is a dedicated server is like the offical ark servers and a non dedicated server example would be multiplayer on a minecraft world.

Non dedicated servers are servers where the host only puts up his server to play on for a short amount of time. ( host looses connection, every one looses connection) .

I could be wrong, but dosen't PS4 dedicated servers require rental servers? I don't think a pc version of the ps4 hosting software is avaliable.

No, ps4 has a button in the game to host a dedicated server. The only cost is dedicating your ps4 to do nothing but run the server.

And yes you are correct, you cant host a pc server on a ps4. ( but you can host a ps4 server on a pc )

No, ps4 has a button in the game to host a dedicated server. The only cost is dedicating your ps4 to do nothing but run the server.

This would be a non-dedicated server. Renting would be required for a dedicated server or leaving the PS4 running 24/7
