I find it kinda strange that you are asking this though, as I am not 100% sure as to why reason you didn't just default to a Rex, Spino, Therizino, or Yutyrannus. I can only assume the reasoning is that you simply aren't confident taming any of those yet, which likely means you won't be confident in going for an Allo pack either. At which case, a couple of Direbears, Thylacoleos, or a large pack of Direwolves should do the trick.
Lastly, it goes without saying that you'll want to tame higher levels of any of these.
I didn't mention them, because I wasn't sure if tamed ones used their charge mechanic when not mounted. Furthermore if they do:
Do they use it effectively?
-or-
Do they use it once, when they are running at the enemy that aggro'd them, then not charge again because they won't back away and will instead hit the enemy normally?
and as you mentioned your farming wood and stone....what better set dino's to have around.
