What dino is good against a brontosaurus?
This is actually a Quarry Sharing Dispute on a PvE server. Land is pillar'ed by someone. No Plant X's involved nor will there be. People mining the same Quarry hit Bront's tail and "claim" it was an accident. Everyone has their Quarry mules (variety of dinos that help carry rock and wood) on this spot.

So they set off the anger of a Bront and it kills everyone's dinos at the Quarry.

My question is what dino can I post as guard over my pack mules that would swiftly take down a brontosaurus? Plz leave Gigga out of suggestions. No Giggas.

What dino can I post on guard that kills Bront? That can survive it's tail swipe?

allosaurus, thylas rexes, yuti pack of carnos

A decent carno can kill a bronto. Might need 2 or 3 carnos if not mounting. Rexes, therizino and spinos can easily solo them without being mounted.

fly up to it with a bird, eat flowers and lure it away to die somewhere else and no one will know it was you.

i usually move the bronts off the quarry with a pter but i was somewhere else on the map when the attack came - thus the need to post a dino guard

i can even suggest a pack of high level raptor's cause no joke those can take down a bronto, plus raptor's are very easy to tame

A high lv anky or doed on neutral will kill a bronto.

Most mid to end game creatures that you would use for combat can fight off Brontos with relative ease. Despite their high health and decent damage per hit, they aren't really too dangerous, as they attack and move really slowly. They're honestly only a threat when in a pack and/or to slow creatures that receive a lot of knock back... and I guess to anything that has low, unarmored, health.

I find it kinda strange that you are asking this though, as I am not 100% sure as to why reason you didn't just default to a Rex, Spino, Therizino, or Yutyrannus. I can only assume the reasoning is that you simply aren't confident taming any of those yet, which likely means you won't be confident in going for an Allo pack either. At which case, a couple of Direbears, Thylacoleos, or a large pack of Direwolves should do the trick.

Lastly, it goes without saying that you'll want to tame higher levels of any of these.

Every strong dinos, and if you don't have all that, just let it sleep and kill it after that.

I didn't mention them, because I wasn't sure if tamed ones used their charge mechanic when not mounted. Furthermore if they do:

Do they use it effectively?
-or-
Do they use it once, when they are running at the enemy that aggro'd them, then not charge again because they won't back away and will instead hit the enemy normally?

they dont use "charge mechanic" whan not mounted, but still they have same base dmg as spinos less then rex or theri but they are also easyer to tame, and they are very versatile, used to farm to pvp and even in boss fights. and i got a pink mutated one so....

Two mate boosted Theriz on aggressive set to follow a Doedi on passive .... the Doedi will roll into a ball when in trouble and the Theriz will make short work of the Bronto and return to the Doedi when finished.
and as you mentioned your farming wood and stone....what better set dino's to have around.
