Giga rage

I saw an old youtube about giga rage where the youtuber enraged his giga to test it. However, when it was enraged and kicked him off, it didn't kill him. He surmized that it was either because the giga was on passive or because he had single player settings turned on. This is the only video I have seen on this subject and it is old. Does anyone have any thoughts on this?

I have seen someone's giga enrage them and kill the rider. The giga doesn't always go for the rider, but it does happen.

The Giga's Rage will grow as it takes damage indicated by the UI, but a Giga can reach full rage from a fall whilst riding it........sometimes from a ridiculously low height!

but now the giga doesnt go into rage mode from taking fall damage

wow... ill answer my own question .... almost a year ago ...https://survivetheark.com/index.php?/forums/topic/304623-giga-enrage-mechanic-changes/ and theirs me still tiptoeing around on the dam thing ...... note to self be more observant to patch changes!
