"An Ichthyornis stole your 100 Narcoberry!"
...Who hurt you, WC? And if nobody did, may I be the first?

My preferred solution? Double-barreled shotgun.

My preferred solution was to get rid of them in all my games.I either replace them with Dimorphodons or pelagornis. I don't even miss them.

The Ichthyornis No-Steal mod was a godsend, but it vanished recently. I now use Anti-Theft which also covers pegos, but it doesn't stop them from stealing from you when you're on a dino. The good news is they both have a controllable loot list with the mod (.ini file entries) so you can control what they take even then.

Another thing you can do is adjust their damage and resistance down. Mine are at .5 for both, and they are not dangerous to an armored character, and even a nekked beach bob can kill them with a spear.

Which is how they should have been in the first place imo.
i prefer to keep my narcos in my dinos when travelling with narcos, then there is less chance of them taking the narcos, if you dont like this, then you can always split the narcos so they only take 1 at a time:steamhappy:

My issue is the crap hit box on them, i had one of those Eff birds look like a pin cushion it is so wonky.

Really of they'd just fix them to where that narcotic would hit them after eating a full stack, the problem would solve itself.

I just wait for them to land and then shoot them. Then I walk up to them and I keep shooting while screaming every expletive I can think of.

Bola first

I suppose, but in the time I'm lining up my bola throw I could line up a pistol headshot.

Hello,

If you want to get rid of the dinos that "Steal" put these lines in your Game.ini file:

[/script/shootergame.shootergamemode]
NPCReplacements=(FromClassName="Ichthyornis_Character_BP_C", ToClassName="Dimorph_Character_BP_C")
NPCReplacements=(FromClassName="Pegomastax_Character_BP_C", ToClassName="Sheep_Character_BP_C")
DinoSpawnWeightMultipliers=(DinoNameTag=Ichthyornis,SpawnWeightMultiplier=0.01,OverrideSpawnLimitPercentage=true,SpawnLimitPercentage=0.01)
DinoSpawnWeightMultipliers=(DinoNameTag=Pegomastax,SpawnWeightMultiplier=0.01,OverrideSpawnLimitPercentage=true,SpawnLimitPercentage=0.01)

NPCReplacement doesn't always work so as a backup I set their Spawn Weight very low. Reguardless I have yet to see Seagulls or Pego's in any of my games.

I prefer to sic my Dimorphodon on them. Walk up to a flock of Ichthyornis, deploy the Dimorphodon, and whistle the Attack command on them. I just sit back and watch from a safe distance.

The main problem with the Ich's (Seagulls) is that when you start out on a server/game you are normally on a beach and you don't have may options to deal with them. I started on a server where I got stold him & killed 3 times in the 1st 20 minutes and couldn't do much of anything to get going and I am far from a noob in Ark. The Ich's are a "Very" bad addition to the game and server nothing usefull to the game other then to Grive a new player to a server. I refuse to play on a server that has them so that is why I setup & play on my own server where they are removed.

I agree! I'm very glad that they weren't around when I was just getting started. And it seems like there are so many of them.
