Something Is Wrong With My Gacha

So I am in the process of moving my critters to my new base. My Gacha's are still at the old base being fed by owls. I have been destroying buildings and letting the Gacha's convert the items. I now have one Gacha that every time he eats an owl pellet it spoils. I had his inventory open trying to figure out where all of his pellets went and saw him pick one up and it immediately spoiled.

I've never seen this before and now all of his stored pellets are spoiling so at some point he is going to need food. Any idea what the issue is? Did I feed him something bad like a mushroom or plant and he is poisoned maybe?

Single player, no mods.

I have attached a screen shot showing an owl pellet he just ate. It turned to spoiled meat. My other Gacha's have lots and lots of pellets stored up but he won't anymore. I am in the process of going back several saves to find one where he was normal.

Anyone know why he is doing this?

I am pretty sure he is angry/sad. They need a mate, and the pairs of gachas need to be 15+ foundations apart. If not they get emo and production craps out.

He has a mate. I have two sets of male/female and each Gacha has an owl to keep it fed. They are over 15 apart. His sparkle from the pellets is bright and not dim like depressed. He looks at me and follows me with his head as well.

This just started after I fed him a bunch of stone and wood from breaking down my old base. I think I may have fed him either a mushroom or purple flower from some stuff I gathered killing dinos. Not sure what happened but he will not add anymore pellets to his inventory. I had to go back several saves to get a spot before I broke down the base and he has a massive amount of pellets. Hopefully it won't happen anymore. :(

I am getting ready to cryo them for a move and I need them to have enough pellets to outlast the sickness if they get it.
